Seasonal Flu clinics 2020
The seasonal flu vaccination program for the autumn of 2020 will be published here once the details are known.
You will be contacted by text message if you are in an at risk group. It is anticipated that the clinics will be walk in clinics, no appointment needed.
Please remember will are usually busy at the start of the clinics so if you unable to wait please consider coming towards the end of the clinic time.
Once the flu clinics have ended if you are entitled and have not had the free flu vaccination, please contact our reception team or speak with your Doctor or Nurse at your next appointment.
The surgery purchases flu vaccines on your behalf so please have your vaccine with us.
The flu vaccine program helps generate income by meeting NHS England targets. If this funding goes elsewhere, we cannot reinvest these funds into providing you services. When we vaccinate you against flu we also obtain other vital data that is necessary for your medical record and care such as smoking status, height, weight, blood pressure. If you choose to go elsewhere for your vaccine such as a pharmacy or supermarket, we cannot gather this information, and they do not gather this for us. We work fast, we are safe and we are good at vaccinating you, we vaccinate patients all the time. We can provide relevant information and we have access to your medical record (Pharmacys and supermarkets dont). Gathering up to date information both saves time and crucially, also saves on using valuable appointments.
So please choose to come to the Surgery and support your local Practice and the NHS.
